FAQs

Q How does it work?
A We deliver, setup, dismantle and collect your inflatable for you.

Q What do the prices include?
A All bouncy castle booking prices include local delivery, a small charge may apply to out of area deliveries. Please contact us for our delivery rate. You will also receive a blower, extension cable safety crash mat. Includes set up, inflation, dismantle and collection.

Q How long does it take to set up / inflate / deflate / pack away the inflatable?
A The inflatable castles take approx 15 minutes to set up and 20 minutes to pack up. These times may vary depending on which inflatable you hire.

Q How much space is needed?
A We will need 3ft wide clear access to deliver our inflatables. You will need a 4ft clear space at the front and rear of the castle and 2 feet on the sides. Please make sure there is no dog mess and that garden items such as garden toys, swings, slides, rubbish etc. are removed from the area where the inflatable is to be sited.

Q Can you set up on a concrete or stone floor?
A No due to safety reasons we will NOT deliver and set up on concrete or stone floors under any condition. Grass is ideal for hire set up.

Q When are your bouncy castles available?
A Our castles are available 7 days a week all year round, including bank holidays.

Q How long do I get the equipment for?
A Most parties tend to be in the afternoon and so we will deliver and set up your inflatable between 9.30 and 11.00a.m. We come and collect your inflatable after your party has finished usually between 6.30 and 7.45p.m. Although pick-up time can be later or overnight but this needs to be discussed when booking.

Q What happens if I decide to cancel my fun day due to bad weather?
A We offer a free of charge cancellation option in the event of bad weather.

Q Can I hire overnight?
A Some of our equipment can be hired overnight for and additional 40% charge plus a (damage / cleaning) deposit which will be refunded providing the equipment is in satisfactory condition upon collection.

Q When do I pay for the hire equipment?
A Payment for all hires is required before or at time of delivery, most garden hire can be paid for on delivery.

Q How do I use the inflatable safely?
A A safety guide is given to the hirer on the day, explaining some of the most important do's and don'ts.


Q Do you know what you are doing??
A Of course we do, all our staff are fully trained and friendly. We are also members of the B.I.H.A British Inflatable Hirers Association.


Inflatable risk assessment / pre set up checks

The following checks are carried out on every delivery / set up:

All inflatables are in good clean condition.
All of our stakes and guy ropes are secured properly / stakes are fully inserted into the ground. Fencing stakes have safety balls on top.
Safety mats are placed at inflatable entrance and exits.
Safety and control fencing is placed and erected around each inflatable.
Petrol blowers and generators are fenced off away from public and children and petrol stored in a safe place.
No extension leads crossing the path of the walking public.
Plugs and sockets to be covered.
Fun day signs put on display.

Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right not to deliver or erect the inflatable if we see the site to be unsuitable or safe. We also will not deliver in extreme weather conditions. Please make sure you have good clean space and flat ground to avoid disappointment. All shoes badges and jewellery must be removed. We also recommend spectacles are also removed. Please remember if the castle is dirty or damaged when collected the hirer is liable for the full repair or £30 cleaning costs. Any persons / organisation hiring out our castles or any of our equipment are responsible / liable for any damage or injuries occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. Persons using the inflatable do so at their own risk. In order to comply with current insurance regulations no one under the influence of alcohol or drugs must be allowed to use or supervise any hire equipment. No smoking fires or barbecues to be used near the inflatable. It is advisable that no one with any history of back or neck problems use the inflatable. We operate a strict no refund policy if after the items you have hired the weather turns bad. Should the weather be bad prior to delivery we will advise of this before we deliver in order to give the hirer the option to cancel before delivery free of charge. All hire items that are to be used outdoors are required to be setup on grass or other suitable flat surface. Hire items must be secured to the ground by anchor stakes or secured to a permanent fixture. The site should be free from overhanging trees or cables and clear of any other obstructions near the inflatable. Please not it is the responsibility of the hirer to insure that the set up area is suitable and that there is easy access to it from the street prior top delivery. Due to the size and weight of some of our large inflatables, we may be unable to deliver to a site that has several stairs leading up to it. If required we will be happy to carry out a site suitability check but in most cases we can advise you over the phone. A site check costs £10 which is deductible off the cost of any hire. The hirer will be supplied with our most up to date copy of our safety sheet for the items being hired. The hirer will NOT be covered by our Public Liability Insurance for third party claims with this type of hire. You will not be covered for defective equipment or equipment failure. In order for your event to be fully covered by our insurance we must be in attendance. This is the same for all hire companies. Therefore on all dry hires the hirer must insure adult supervision at all times. These guidelines are for the safety of all persons using the inflatable and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Payment for all hires is required before or at time of delivery. A deposit is required for some overnight hires and for Part Hire. Sir Bounce Alot Inflatables And Fun Day Hire cannot accept responsibility for any damage or injury to anyone using the equipment however caused. A responsible adult must supervise children at all times whilst playing on the inflatables. Do not let children climb, sit or hang on the inflatable walls. The latest we collect or supervise is 8.00p.m. Any hire after this is classed as 24hr hire. You must ensure that the castle does not get overcrowded and avoid putting small and larger children together. Adults are not allowed on children's castles, nor are pets. No silly string, part foam, party poppers or food and drink to be allowed on inflatable. Any damage caused to any of the hire equipment whilst in the hirers care shall be charged to the hirer accordingly.

Supervisor's Responsibility

1. Look for signs of misbehaviour or rough horseplay. Persistent offender's should be asked to leave the inflatable.

2. Watch out for small children when larger children or teenagers are using the inflatable.

3. Do not allow children to climb or sit on the sidewalls of the inflatable.
